Unlike traditionally aged yerba mate, Mate Factor processes the leaves shortly after harvest and seals them in airtight packaging to help maintain their freshness and naturally vibrant flavour. The result is a smooth herbal taste without the strong smoky flavour commonly associated with some yerba mate teas.

This versatile loose-leaf tea can be prepared using a tea ball, teapot, French press, coffee maker, espresso machine, or traditional gourd and bombilla. Each package contains 340g of vacuum-sealed loose yerba mate.

Suggested Preparation

Add approximately one tablespoon of loose yerba mate to a tea ball or teapot for every 355ml of hot, but not boiling, water. Steep for three to five minutes and adjust the amount or steeping time to suit your preferred strength. It may also be prepared in a French press, coffee maker, espresso machine, or served over ice.

Yerba mate naturally contains caffeine. Consider personal caffeine tolerance and avoid consuming close to bedtime.
